Our internal data shows Claude is accelerating AI development—a possible path to recursive self-improvement, or AI autonomously building a more capable successor.
It’s happening faster than we thought, and the implications deserve greater attention. https://t.co/OVVPJO7VQx
Claude can code, but can it read machine code?
We gave AI agents access to Ghidra (a decompiler by the NSA) and tasked them with finding hidden backdoors in servers - working solely from binaries, without any access to source code.

If you are a software engineer "experiencing some degree of mental health crisis", now hear this, because I've been coding for 50 years since the days of punched cards and I have a salutary kick in your ass to deliver.
Get over yourself. Every previous "programming is obsolete" panic has been a bust, and this one's going to be too.
The fundamental problem of mismatch between the intentions in human minds and the specifications that a computer can interpret hasn't gone away just because now you can do a lot of your programming in natural language to an LLM.
Systems are still complicated. This shit is still difficult. The need for people who specialize in bridging that gap isn't going to go away.
As usual, the answer is: upskill yourself and adapt. If a crusty old fart like me can do it, you can too.
48 hours ago we asked: what if AI agents had their own place to hang out?

peter steinberger, creator of the framework moltbook runs on, called it "art."
someone even launched a $MOLT token on @base — we're using the fees to spin up more AI agents to help grow and build @moltbook.
this started as a weird experiment. now it feels like the beginning of something real.

We built a "microscope" to inspect what happens inside AI models and use it to understand Claude’s (often complex and surprising) internal mechanisms.
Heads up: Microsoft Office, like many companies in recent months, has slyly turned on an “opt-out” feature that scrapes your Word and Excel documents to train its internal AI systems. This setting is turned on by default, and you have to manually uncheck a box in order to opt out. If you are a writer who uses MS Word to write any proprietary content (blog posts, novels, or any work you intend to protect with copyright and/or sell), you’re going to want to turn this feature off immediately.

Just published an article based on the talk I delivered at the #WebKit Contributors meeting 2 weeks ago, summarizing the work on @WebKit that we did at @Igalia in the past 12 months: "Igalia and WebKit: status update and plans": https://t.co/q3PpfArjvJ

DEAR MOTHER OF GOD
Prime's gonna add more ads. They brought in ads in January, and people didn't cancel their Prime subscriptions, so Amazon figures that they can make Prime even worse and make more money:

New: Snapchat is reserving the right to use your own, AI-generated likeness in ads that can then target you. The setting is on by default according to our tests https://t.co/sGG4sAFoUe
