8) It's easy to cut someone off, but, that's not what friends are for.
Remind them: #ItsOkayNotToBeOkay
You may not necessarily be able to solve every problem, but you'll be able to listen and empathise.
Let's look out for each other, because, if we don't, who else will?
7) You may notice any of the following things:
• If a friend isn't themselves
• If they've become withdrawn
• If they seem preoccupied
• If they're suddenly prone to mood swings
• Anything else out of the ordinary that doesn't feel right...
5) Whats the point of all this? Well, if we can learn how cartoon characters deal with a friend who has depression - then why can't we apply that to every day life?
It's so very true: you never know what is really going on under the surface with someone.
4) In fact, it's fair to say that Eeyore had some of the best friends in the whole world!
They understood that he was the way he was and that was nothing to be ashamed of. They took care of him even when it was inconvenient or difficult.
3) They never assumed that he was crazy. They never wrote him off - no matter how tough times got!
In fact, they ALWAYS checked in on him. They still invited him on every adventure even though they knew that he would probably say no or, if he did come, he'd be a little grumpy.
2) However, as an adult, what you also realise is that Eeyore had an excellent support network in his closest friends. They understood him and they knew exactly how to approach him.
Winnie the Pooh and the rest of the gang didn't ever make fun of Eeyore for being sad.
1) On #WorldMentalHealthDay let's take a second to think about Eeyore.
As an adult, you realise that Eeyore was very clearly clinically depressed. He was ALWAYS sad. Every time he spoke it was written as "...Eeyore said, gloomily." He had no motivation and no hope.
