@zanerednwhite@SydneySwansHub Not a lot of trust for our bottom end clearly. Very minimal game time, may have contributed to fade out. Need Campbell, wicks, McDonald, mcinerny, bice in the 23. Amartey too, if he can get back. Need a full 23 to contend
@zanerednwhite Absolutely loved his game tonight. The competing, the big launches at the ball, the follow up. Looks totally invested. Clearly learning what it takes to be a part of a consistently high performing team
@SydneySwansHub He’s been top 10 in the comp for score involvements all year. Playing a different role to the pure centre bounce midfielder like other seasons. Personally would like to see him go back into the middle more than he has been. Play Jordan as the fwd tagger.
@JoshJenkins24 Is this because the handball game is different to previous forms of ball movement? Interested to see if it doesn’t work going forward, still need to win the ball at contest. -30 for patches will give you no chance of winning any game of football
@1116sen@JoshJenkins24@crust_pizza Have also been number one defensive side and pressure side. Pretty sure that stuff holds up. They play a high turnover game which is finals football. They used to play an uncontested mark brand, which couldn’t hold up in the biggest high pressure games.
@zanerednwhite@davidking34 Shows the massive change in game style. Always been good in the BM space, but now doing it with chaos and not control. Defensively we are a different team, as well as our aerial contests being a strength for the first time in forever. Different team in 2026.
@zanerednwhite Absolute joke all the media. Funny what happens when you move clubs and everyone is salty about it. Amartey and Curnow 1&2 in contested fwd half wins too. Curnow had a much better game than King on the weekend, nothing said. His contests directly resulted in at least 4 goals.
@zanerednwhite I think it’s worth a look. I still get nervous if Melican has to play on a key forward that is B+ or better. McCartin clearly our number one, just need a number 2 capable of some strength against a good oppo. Hamling had some solid moments last season. Think it’s a feeler
@cleary_mitch If they were concerned about leg speed in midfield, surely knew that through pre season and aren’t changing their plan in round 4. Shows how unorganised they are. Just reassign Hewett as a defensive HF. Imagine dropping the one guy who has unconditional effort in the side.
