Shelter in Place at Mesa Alta Jr. High 4/30/26
MAJH was placed in a shelter in place as a safeguard to address an isolated incident. Students remained in their classrooms until the situation was cleared. All students and staff have resumed normal operations.

BHS Evac 4/30/26

Parents & Guardians,
As a precautionary measure, BHS was evacuated today to investigate a suspicious smell. Bloomfield & SJC Fire Depts. came to investigate & found no threat/issues. Classes have resumed.  We remain committed to the safety of students and staff.

Crews have cleared the building and students will be returning to class.

Lockdown BHS 4/27/26
BHS was placed on a brief lockdown today in an overabundance of caution to investigate a tip that came in. Police responded & assisted with the investigation deeming everything to be safe. We are committed to the safety of our students and staff. Thank you

Due to inclement weather conditions, Bloomfield Schools will be on a two-hour delay today. Buses will run two hours later than usual. There will be no morning Pre-k. Thank you.

Safety Update: Report of Gas Smell at BHS

At approximately 11:15 a.m., a gas smell was reported in the 600 Hallway. As a precautionary measure, students were immediately evacuated to the auditorium while the Bloomfield Fire Department was called to the scene.
