Chicago families just got put through the wringer so that appointed board members can score political points with Brandon Johnson and their CTU puppet masters.
After months of delays, endless debate, and uncertainty for thousands of students and families, the Board approved all of the charter renewals that were being held up in the first place.
Schools qualified. Schools were renewed. The families suffered through the uncertainty anyway.
Common sense isn’t complicated: if a school passes the test, it gets renewed. Anything else is politics.
It’s time that board members put kids ahead of politics. #Chicago #CPS #SchoolChoice #Education #ParentsFirst #CommonSense

With @Giannoulias likely entering the mayoral race, our question is: Will Chicago media carefully examine Alexi's past?
As far as scandals go, Alexi's are seismic.
If media outlets can mention @susanamendoza10's "connection" to Ed Burke ad nauseam, will reporters dig into Broadway Bank, the Bright Start college savings program, and his SoS office issuing licenses to illegal immigrants?
Just remember: if you had to spend money burying a loved one because they were hit by an illegal immigrant, or if you were involved in a car accident and your insurance rates went up while the driver fled the scene, remember that Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias @Giannoulias supported issuing driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants.
Now he’s running for mayor, with $18 million in campaign funds. Instead of Prison . Meanwhile, Rhymefest Rhymefest is campaigning alongside him on the South Side.
Shame Shame
I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Michael Johnson, a cherished friend, trusted colleague, and extraordinary leader. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Latoya, their children, and their entire family as they navigate this profound loss.
I had the privilege of collaborating with him for more than three decades. Michael was a force for good in every sense of the word. Throughout his career, he championed opportunity, uplifted communities, and devoted himself to the success and well-being of young people.
His leadership at the Boys & Girls Club of Madison reflected his deep belief that every child deserves hope, guidance, and a chance to succeed. Michael was taken from us far too soon. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
