This field is too new for anyone to be a true “expert.”
We’re all learning in real time.
The people who admit that?
Those are the ones you should trust.
Networking is overrated.
When I had zero money and got fired, nobody wanted to "network" with me.
I had nothing to offer. No value to trade.
Now that I have "made it", everyone wants to connect.
Funny how that works.
We live in a capitalist world. People network with people who can help them.
When you're broke, you're invisible.
When you're winning, you're magnetic.
I don't believe in chasing people.
I believe in becoming sooooo good that you attract the right people.
What actually moves the needle:
• Sitting down and doing the boring work
• Blood, sweat, tears for months while nobody knows you exist
• Working on the right things for an extended period
• Delaying gratification while others chase shortcuts
Don't get distracted by posts about "building relationships."
Build something great first. Then people come to you.
You can't network your way to the top.
You work your way there.
Then the network finds you.
A year and a half ago I copied a Nancy Pelosi trade.
The portfolio I started as a joke went from $38k to $118k in 3 months.
Seeing that this strategy works I added more cash and kept copying her trades.
Today my portfolio is at all time high.
Can I take this joke to $1m?

I’ve listened to most of the Mark Andreesen podcast with Rogan. It’s interesting and compelling. Truth be told I didn’t hear anything I didn’t already know, mostly from being on X/Twitter.
This is an important point. Guys like Andreeson are on here, reading things. You can be an anon account, and have influence through network effects with your ideas. So this isn’t all pointless. Ideas you have, if they’re good, can spread - and guys with enormous platforms can make them relevant.
