Say what you want but @avax's tech and infrastructure is business ready for real.
Experimenting high gas fees on Robinhood, Public RPC dying most of the time and other stuffs making the experience a nightmare...
@RobinhoodCrypto truly should have been an Avax L1
We might have a useless token (for now) but the tech is real.
Nice overhaul of the perps system. Check it out through our trading competition using Hyperliquid. $11k in cash up for prizes.
Also you can now hide your PnL in settings. It’s a toggle so if you have a good run, you can reveal it again at any time
i’ve been thinking a lot lately about what “winning” in crypto actually looks like. right now, so much of this industry gets measured by what’s happening in the trenches. memecoins, trading volume, retail mindshare, who owns the timeline that day. and to be clear, retail matters. culture matters. distribution matters.
but there’s another race happening that i think is ultimately much bigger:
which blockchain becomes the infrastructure businesses actually run on? that’s the part of avalanche i think people are still underestimating.
when i talk to institutions and enterprises, they’re not asking “how do we use crypto?” theyre asking much more boring, much more important questions.
how do we settle faster? move money more efficiently? tokenize assets? bring loyalty onchain? manage contracts or ownership differently? and how do we do all of that without giving up the compliance, control and infrastructure the business actually needs?
that’s where avalanche gets really interesting.
because the future probably isn’t every company putting everything onto one giant public blockchain and calling it a day.
a bank has different needs than a gaming company. a payments company has different needs than a sports league. a financial market has different needs than a consumer app.
different jurisdictions. different rules. different compliance requirements. different performance needs. they need infrastructure built around the business, not the other way around.
and that’s what Avalanche was built to do. we’re already seeing it across finance, payments, gaming, sports, loyalty, tokenization and a bunch of other real-world use cases.
the more i think about it, the more the AWS analogy feels right.
most people use products powered by AWS all day long and have no idea. you call an Uber. order food. stream something. buy something online. you’re not thinking about the infrastructure underneath it. you just want the product to work.
i think that’s where blockchain ultimately goes too.
real mass adoption isn’t millions of people walking around saying “i use blockchain.”
it’s millions of people using products, financial systems and businesses powered by blockchain without knowing or caring what’s underneath them.
avalanche doesn’t need to be the product.
it can be the infrastructure underneath the product. and maybe that doesn’t win the trenches every single day. but becoming the invisible technology powering how some of the world’s biggest businesses actually operate?
that feels like a much bigger prize. thx for staying with me this long 🫶 come to summit!
