Blockchain and AI are converging. Chains themselves are becoming intelligent, with AI embedded in the protocol and agents transacting under verifiable rules. That’s what @MetallicusTDBN is building with @XPRNetwork and PulseVM on @MetalBlockchain. There is no second best.

[Tecknical Tuesday @TeckncalTuesday]

So my account was one of the accounts that got exploited. I just received my funds back. @MarshallHayner thank you and your team for your hard work.

It also looks like they’re turning everything back on. The lending platform and liquidations are turned back on according to my website alert.

- Hackers tested @XPRNetwork this weekend.

Funds recovered. Hole patched. And per @protonnz, it's now the first chain in the world with serious anti-hacker measures built in.

Most chains get wrecked. We got upgraded. ⚛️🛡️ $XPR
- Based on: @protonnz's Sunday post about XPR Network's new anti-hacker measures, plus the 1.14M USDC recovery from this morning. Quote tweeting his post should help it travel.

[MadBlocks @madblocksbp]

Two contracts on @XPRNetwork were exploited on Saturday, ten hours apart. By Sunday morning the 1,143,288 USDC from the first one was back in @LOAN_Protocol, the attacker's remaining 7.21M ethereum:0xd7efb00d12c2c13131fd319336fdf952525da2af were locked, and the hole was patched. On most chains an exploit like this ends with the money bridged out and gone 👇

The attacker was software. The webauthn exploit made 67 accounts borrow on LOAN in a single transaction at 02:35:36 UTC and sent the USDC to the bridge 64 seconds later. Paul - protonnz said it plainly: the network is up against people with the most advanced AI there is. That is the threat model for every chain from now on, and code nobody has read in years is the cheapest thing to hit.

Every layer did its part. The bridge never paid the USDC out, and at 05:08 it went back into LOAN. LOAN was paused at 03:12, 37 minutes after the first borrow, so nobody else could be dragged in. webauthn was patched at 03:46. When escrowhold, a third-party escrow, was drained at 12:24, its owner removed the contract's own permission at 13:45 so nothing else could leave. At 16:39, 19 block producers, madblocks among them, executed a multisig that replaced the attacker's keys and locked the 7.21M ethereum:0xd7efb00d12c2c13131fd319336fdf952525da2af still on his account. The only part that reached an exchange is the 85,887,410 ethereum:0xd7efb00d12c2c13131fd319336fdf952525da2af he sent to @kucoincom, and KuCoin has the memo.

None of this needed a fork or a rollback. It works because accounts on XPR have names and permissions the chain understands, multisig is native, and the producers can act together within hours when something is plain theft. On most chains nobody can do that, and the money is gone before anyone wakes up.

This morning the team went further. protonnz says the changes are in and the blue team is in control, and calls XPR the first chain with anti-hacker measures like these. The defense is being automated too: agents that test every contract the way an attacker would, around the clock. On XPR that costs no gas, so it can run on everything, third-party contracts included.

That is what makes XPR and @MetalBlockchain stronger for what they are built for. A credit union on a Metal subnet needs a chain whose own governance can stop theft within hours decreasing to minutes, and that gets harder to attack every month. The first part already worked this weekend.

If you build on XPR, when was your contract last tested?

[Alvosec ⚛️ @alvosec]

We were able to recreate the entire process used by the attackers by reverse-engineering the smart contracts and then using AI agents to identify specific vulnerabilities. The next step is to perform external testing to detect vulnerabilities and help the team patch each one.

Many people have been asking what future steps will be taken after the failed exploit on Metal X was beautifully "thwarted" by $XPR Network/ the Metallicus team.

While I'm sure more detailed information wiĺl trickle out in the future, I want to share this firm/reassuring statement from @paulgrey, who you definitely should all be following.

"Today we made some big changes and it will never happen again."

That's not a "we are going to do our best to make sure situations like this don't happen" but instead a solid, "it's never happening again".

You didn’t come this far just to come this far.

You’ve endured too much, sacrificed too much, and fought too hard to settle for anything less than what you set out to achieve.

This isn’t the finish line. It’s proof of how far you’re capable of going.

Keep pushing. Your greatest chapter is still unwritten, Anon 🐦‍🔥⚛️

One thing I’ve learned in life is to ALWAYS be kind to others. You never know who you may need along your journey or whose path you may cross again. The same person you overlook today could be the person who opens a door for you tomorrow.

You can have all the degrees, all the experience, and all the qualifications in the world, but sometimes it takes the RIGHT connection, the RIGHT conversation, or the RIGHT person believing in you to get you where you’re meant to be.

That’s why I live by this saying: “It’s not just what you know, it’s WHO you know!”

Never let pride, ego, or a moment of anger cause you to burn a bridge that you may need to cross someday. Treat people with respect, be genuine, stay humble, and remember that kindness costs nothing.

You never know who’s watching, who’s willing to help, or who God may use to open a door for you. 🙏🏽

Be kind. Build relationships. Protect your reputation. Never burn bridges. You never know where life may lead you!

🚨 PULSEVM UPDATE — THE INFRASTRUCTURE IS COMING TOGETHER!
Three developments from the Metallicus ecosystem:

✅ XPR Mainnet transaction relay — code merged
💵 Metal Dollar integration — mint/redeem testing tools added
⚙️ XPR state compatibility — 21-table validation reported at block 408,328,634; fix awaiting merge
This is serious migration engineering.
The bigger picture? 🌐🏦

XPR Network → PulseVM
Metal Blockchain → Infrastructure
Metal L2 → EVM liquidity & settlement
XMD → Multi-network digital dollars

Production migration isn't confirmed yet, but the building blocks keep advancing.

The Internet of Banks isn't built with promises. It's built with infrastructure. 🔥
