Of course they don’t care. And this is what I come to understand just now. They don’t actually care what argument they use or how stupid they sound. Because it’s not about facts for them. It’s about power. Like russians, they want power over us, life and death and destiny.

They want power.

That is why they, like Russians, can so easily lie and change lies.

I can’t tolerate such hubris. I can’t respect it. I can only treat such MAGA and their russian poodle Trump with contempt.

Such desire for power over others is not value I will ever share. It’s not values shared by rest of free world. This is main reason now everyone come to conclusion that America under Trump and Russia are no different. They value only power.

Russia invaded us same reason MAGA wants our resources. Exactly same reason. 👇🏻

Als antwoord op mijn stuk over de kersverse Miss Nederland kreeg ik een boze e-mail van André. Deze naam is fictief, maar André is een bekend persoon, een onderdeel van wat je de intellectuele elite zou kunnen noemen. Ik zal zijn e-mail beantwoorden, ook om anderen te beantwoorden. Zijn woorden zijn in het vet gedrukt, de mijnen niet.
Zo begon hij. Zonder hallo of beste. To the point:

- "Werkelijk, Dyab?"
Ja, André, dat is inderdaad de vraag. Wat is de werkelijkheid? Is het ons gevoel of bestaat er een objectieve werkelijkheid? Bestaat er zoiets als een vrouw? Een man? Of een mens überhaupt?

- " Want normaal doen is de enige garantie dat tolerantie een draagvlak behoudt. Zijn dit echt jouw woorden? Of van een kwaadaardige trol?"
Hier stel je eigenlijk een retorische vraag. Wat je eigenlijk zegt, is dat mijn woorden die van een kwaadaardige trol lijken. Dat is een oordeel over mijn intenties en waarde, dus daar kan ik niet echt op antwoorden.

- "Een fucking waarschuwing aan hen die buiten vallen wat jij normaal vindt? Ze verbeuren tolerantie? What’s next? En wie niet horen wil, moet voelen?"
Hier lees je het verkeerd. Ik heb niet over 'normaal zijn' gesproken in deze context, maar over 'normaal doen'. En hoe heb ik 'normaal doen' gedefinieerd? Precies, door te stellen dat er ruimte voor iedereen gecreëerd kan worden en dat de persoonlijke ruimte van vrouwen gerespecteerd dient te worden. Leven en laten leven. Jezelf niet aan anderen opdringen. Je identiteit niet aan anderen opdringen. Dat is 'normaal doen'. Ik wil niet afwijkingen van de norm wissen, maar niemand mag ook het bestaan van vrouwen wissen. Dat is 'normaal doen'. Waar zit het geweld in deze, beste André? Het geweld bevindt zich juist bij degenen die dit als geweld zien, en oproepen om elke 'TERF' te slaan, en daarvoor applaus en begrip krijgen. Geweld komt van mensen die niet openlijk staan voor redelijke accommodatie, maar juist hun visie en ideologie willen opleggen.

- "Ga toch eens praten met transvrouwen, het zijn vrouwen."
Nee, transvrouwen zijn geen vrouwen. Ze zijn trans. Als mensen hebben ze alle mensenrechten, inclusief het recht op zelfbeschikking. Maar wat ze niet hebben, is het recht om wetenschap te ontkennen en hun visie aan anderen op te dringen. Ze hebben het recht om illusies te koesteren, maar ze hebben niet het recht om hun illusies als norm op te dringen. Ze hebben alle mensenrechten, maar niet alle vrouwenrechten.

-"Net zoals je deed vroeger met homo’s en toen wél je mening/frame veranderde."
Homo's vragen me niet te geloven dat ze iets anders zijn dan wat ze werkelijk zijn. Hier kom ik terug naar je eerste vraag… Werkelijk André? Werkelijk?

Je bedoelt 'Woke up'... Want wakker ben ik wel. Misschien teveel naar je zin?

Het zijn de vrouwen zelf die hebben gestreden om bepaalde 'safe spaces' te vrijwaren, om zichzelf te kunnen zijn, veilig te voelen, om competitief aan sport te kunnen doen, om zich te ontvoogden van mannen. Nu komen biologische mannen deze plekken en ruimtes bezetten omdat ze zichzelf als vrouw definiëren. Dit is juist de ultieme vorm van mannelijk chauvinisme. Ik lees het zo: sommige mannen willen overal domineren, zelfs in het domein van het vrouw-zijn.
En last but not least my friend, ik zal blijven denken en reflecteren en communiceren. Morele verontwaardiging is vaak een ideologische stelling. En soms een poging tot intimidatie. Beiden werken bij mij niet.
