However the Tax Payer Alliance says, add in unfunded liabilities, like:

1. Unfunded State & Public Sector Pensions
2. PFI Contracts [Public Funded Investments]
3. Nuclear waste clean up commitments

..and you get to add a further £8.6 Trn, Making a total of £12Trn in debt. If you could pay off £1Million every hour it would take 1334 years to settle.

Reminder the US plays this game too, supposedly 120% Debt to GDP, with Unfunded Liabilities 550% Debt to GDP.
