A LETTER TO MY SONS
My sons,
There is a danger in ministry that I want you to discern early: the danger of reproducing what God is doing in another man without receiving the divine allocation that made it possible for him to carry it.
Many men have shipwrecked their assignment because they became fascinated with another man's expression. They saw the manifestation but did not discern the mystery behind the manifestation.
They saw the public dimension of the ministry but knew nothing about the private dealings of God that produced the man. So they copied the visible while ignoring the invisible.
My sons, do not build your ministry from another man's shadow. There is something God has written concerning you that cannot be discovered through imitation.
Paul says:
«“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us…”
— Romans 12:6»
The Scripture does not Just say that gifts differ.
It says they differ according to grace. That means there is a divine proportion attached to every calling.
There is a measure of grace. There is a measure of faith. There is a measure of burden. There is a measure of authority. There is a measure of revelation.
There is a measure of governmental responsibility.
Grace is heaven's provision for the execution of His divine intention.
When God gives an assignment, He does not Just give Men responsibilities; He gives Men the grace necessary to execute that responsibility.
Therefore, do not volunteer for what God has not commissioned you to carry. There are burdens that look spiritual but are not your burden. There are battles that are legitimate but are not your battle.
There are territories that need conquest but are not your territory. There are people who need help but are not your assignment to carry. There are doors that are genuinely open but were not opened for you. And there are things that God may permit another man to do that He will deliberately forbid you from doing.
This is the mystery of divine measure.
Paul said: «“But we will not boast of things without our measure…” 2 Corinthians 10:13»
Notice the language: “Our measure.” There is a measure that belongs to a man. There is a jurisdiction attached to an assignment. There is a boundary around every commission.
There is what heaven has committed to your stewardship. Therefore, maturity in ministry is not simply knowing what you can do. Maturity is knowing what God has authorized you to do.
A man can have the ability to do many things and still have the grace to do only a few. And this is where many ministers become casualties..
My sons, hear me: You are not called to do everything you are capable of doing. You are called to do what heaven has written concerning you. Jesus Himself lived under this government.
He said: “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” John 4:34
He did not come on Earth Just to do good things.
He came to finish an assigned work. This is the difference between a good man and a commissioned man.
A good man is always concerned about Things That needs to be done. A commissioned man is always concerned about things he has been sent to do.
Jesus could have responded to every human need around Him, but He remained governed by the Father's will. The One who had unlimited power still lived within the boundaries of His assignment.
My sons, there are things you must learn to refuse, Not because they are sinful. Not because they are evil.
Not because they are beneath you. But because they are outside your assignment.
There is a holy “no” that protects a man's “yes.”
There are things you must be willing to say: “This is good, but it is not mine.” “This is necessary, but God has not assigned it to me.” “This is a legitimate burden, but it is not my burden.” Because if you say yes to every burden, eventually you will not have enough strength to carry the burden God actually gave you.
The misery of lukewarmness is so annoying.
If Jesus is really Lord over your life, why not go all out and live with the same zeal and passion that led Him to the cross?
Why stand in the middle, professing love for your saviour while loving the world with your actions and priorities?
At the end of the day, you never truly experience the joy of following Jesus completely, but you are also miserable because you can not fully experience the carnal happiness of devoted worldliness.
There's a Grace on this song! I've seen it at work in my life. If you can, please bask in it today!
May this become your TESTIMONY SONG indeed!!!
“And Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.””
Genesis 21:6 NKJV
PASTOR, MINISTRY IS NOT ALL ABOUT GIFT ( PART FIVE)...
Growth in ministry is not the same as growth in spirit.
Your name may be rising in the city…
While your priesthood is collapsing in the SPIRIT.
Oh what a fearful thing
To have a generation listening to you,
But GOD weeping over you.
I am afraid.
Because I have seen men rise…
Not by obedience,
But by giftedness.
They preach well.
They sing well.
They gather crowds.
They carry influence.
But GOD does not know them.
Because They escaped the dealings.
They abandoned the cave of formation.
And now they stand tall in the eyes of men,
But their roots are shallow.
Oh Pastor, be careful.
The gift is not proof that you are sent.
The crowd is not proof that you are accurate.
The honor is not proof that you are known in Zion.
Do you not know?
Lucifer still had sound… after he had lost light.
He still had pipes and tablets but GOD had shut his access.
“Thou wast perfect in thy ways… till iniquity was found in thee.” (Ezekiel 28:15)
Many today have not returned to the fire in years.
You used to hide when He corrected you.
Now you defend your carnality.
You have outgrown your altar and that is your danger.
Pastor, check again:
When last did you sit before GOD with no sermon to prepare?
When last did you let Him break you for things no one else could see?
This is the terror:
You can move the emotions of men…
While grieving the Spirit who sent you.
PASTOR, BE CAREFUL.
If your altar is smaller than your influence,
Your fall is only a matter of time.
Return.
Before the microphone becomes your noose.
Before the applause becomes your deception.
Before the pulpit becomes your grave.
Beloved, after reading this, do well to lift a prayer for the Church in Nigeria. Her destiny is to lead Africa in this Revival, yet the enemy longs to steal it.
The Apostles warned us:
“After my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock” (Acts 20:29).
That warning has come alive before our very eyes.
We are there.
The evidence is in the pulpits.
They have enlarged the curriculum of the Apostles’ Doctrine,
Adding philosophies that sound wise,
But carry no Spirit, no cross.
And so the Church, stripped of her simplicity,
Is being remodeled into a Den of Thieves.
They do not strike prayer openly,
But they belittle it,
They substitute it,
They make it unnecessary.
They make prayer look primitive.
They brand groaning as fanaticism.
Because they know
Once prayer dies, the House loses its identity.
And their recruits multiply without end:
Foot soldiers of appetite.
Preachers whose belly is their god (Philippians 3:19).
Men who cannot travail, yet can advertise.
Pastors who can raise money, but cannot raise men.
Because their ambition is not to guard the House,
But to trade it.
Beloved, hear the truth:
They will not snatch the Bible from your hand.
They will rewrite it in your heart until you believe another gospel.
They will not deny Christ with their lips.
They will deny Him in teaching that enthrones self and buries the Cross.
The tragedy is this:
These are not wolves from outside.
They are shepherds in the House.
But their voice does not carry the Father’s heartbeat.
So I cry:
Return!
Return to the simplicity of Christ.
Return to the prayers that built altars, not platforms.
Return to the Apostles’ Doctrine where men died, but Christ lived.
For if we continue to follow strangers,
We will wake up in a House called “Church,”
But owned by another spirit.
My heart is heavy… Can we pause what we are doing and sincerely pray for the Church in Nigeria.
