OpenAI, what happened to Astra?

I used GPT‑6 Astra on Xhigh for 30 minutes, and it consumed almost 20% of my plan’s usage limit

(200$ plan)

That’s a big change from my experience before.

I used to choose High or Xhigh because, in my workflow, it often less than Medium,but now is the opposite...

Has anyone else noticed Astra using more of their limit lately?

i was one of the only people who said openai and anthropic would introduce higher tier subscription plans.

called it less than 3 months ago.

now openai's $500 pro max plan is here and will most likely get introduced at devday.

If OpenAI launches some insanely expensive tier, makes the cheaper tiers worse with bad limits, merges Chat into ChatGPT Work / Codex, and the overall experience gets worse because of it, then the solution is pretty simple:

I’ll cancel ChatGPT and move to other AI tools that actually work for me and don’t make me feel like a second-class user.

(As much as I love ChatGPT, I’m not an idiot.)

Yeah but I can use Opus 5.5 for days and not run out of usage and I can’t with Astra. GPT6 Sol is no where near as good as Opus 5.5 and that sucks man. Like a lot. I wanna use a GPT model as good and as fast as Opus 5.5 and there is not one. Like I hate this. I am a GPT guy not a Claude guy but Opus 5.5 is just too good right now. Like a lot. I wanna use Astra but like usage goes BYE BYE and it’s just like not fun…

I'm definitely canceling my ChatGPT subscription. I just can't find a downside to using Opus right now

今はOpen AI完全にAnthropicに負けてるな。
Chat GPT Pro×20でAstraで回すと3日程度で週間制限なくなる。
Opus 5.5は全然制限ならないらしいし乗り換えようかね。
