@CFCKingsRoad@NizaarKinsella Na, the Burnley player went into the box after the keeper made the pass. Chalobah lost concentration in that moment. We just got away with it.
To Lovers of True Democracy
Long caption alert, but I hope to inspire someone.
Exactly a year ago, the first episode of The African Story, “Why Nigeria Is Not Truly Free,” was launched, and it went viral. Here is a clip that someone “remixed.” It was also forwarded many times on WhatsApp, reaching celebrities and public figures I respect.
Backstory: After leaving traditional media in 2018, it took me five years to figure out how to do what I wanted to do. It began as a show called The Quad Talk, which didn’t quite happen (long story. Lol). Then, eventually, TAS was born. The 2023 elections forced me to come back out and opened my eyes in ways I never knew I needed, so this was a form of closure for me. Interestingly, this wasn’t my first recording. I was so visibly upset in the first recording that I had to go back to the studio, paying a lot of money to redo the entire thing (I only set up my own studio after the first episode). This explains why I appear quite calm in this clip.
Some well-wishers advised me not to stress myself with the chaos. A few not-so-well-wishers mocked or cursed me.😅 A few people even called me an IPOB supporter. 🤣😐 I lost some followers and a few associations. I want to say, “Good riddance!✌🏽,” but I won’t. 😇 I could feel the distance from some, but I can’t even blame them. Lol. For me, it was never personal. Overall, I gained much more than I lost and made some like-minded friends. 🥰 The activism was always in me. It didn’t start last year.
I have only been 20% as consistent as I would like because production is no joke. There has been a lot of joy, with some tears shed. 😩 But it is one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done, and I have only just begun. I have seen elements and influences from TAS in some other podcasts. I guess we did something good.
Thank you, @JObidient, @peterobiusa, and @a_little_god_ . I saw what you did and will forever appreciate you. @suledeco and @emirsirdam, thank you for seeing value and adding me to the @parallelfacts family. It was this clip you saw before we ever spoke.
Happy Anniversary to the wonderful lovers of TAS. You have made this worth it. Nigeria will be great. Africa will be great. Happy Democracy Day.
Thank you. ❤️

As we bask in the newness of 2024, let’s prioritize Nigeria by shifting our focus from divisions to progress. We are, indeed, greater than these divides and must not hinder our own potential.
