I just heard this girl say, "If men didn't have to wipe their ass, toilet paper would not be free in public spaces. bleeding is also a natural bodily function, but because men don't do it, it's not treated as universal."
@TylerIsTired26@revengescores See the problem here is that there wasn’t anything to disagree with in the first place, and yet, here y’all are acting as if you have the right to disagree with who someone finds attractive. If heterosexuals don’t have to keep it “private,” then neither do queer people.
@TylerIsTired26@revengescores Most romance movies/books/shows being straight, the clear othering of queer shows as if it’s not just as normal, the idea that you can choose to be gay and being straight is default. There are some queer, specifically, gay shows getting popular and suddenly it’s forced.
@TylerIsTired26@revengescores Maybe that happens, but you’re clearly nitpicking. Things like that happen at most festivals, no matter the occasion. Pride festivals, and the month, are not centered around sexual acts or dressing frisky, people just do it cause they can. It’s how they express themselves.
@TylerIsTired26@revengescores Clearly, you read to respond not to understand. Pride seems like it “drags on” to you because you don’t like the fact that, even after Pride month ends, queer people are outspoken about their queerness. And how is it “perverted” now?
@TylerIsTired26@revengescores 1. No it doesn’t. 2. Are you saying that because queer people continue to exist and be open past June? ‘Cause I hate to break it to you, but gay people don’t disappear after Pride Month.
