🌸 Welcome to Bloom & Breathe!
Gardening is my happy place as I navigate life with hereditary alpha tryptasemia (HaT) and MCAS.
Here to share the beautiful, the frustrating, and everything in between. 🌿
@robbystarbuck Yep. Wallets are voting. Will be interesting to see if Republicans see this as a mandate like they did in 2024? Or will they make excuses and gaslight?
🖤 Heartbreaking news from North Royalton, Ohio.
Our community is mourning the loss of a firefighter who died in the line of duty.
Sending love and deepest condolences to their family, fellow firefighters, and everyone affected.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
@TheRawSol I have HaT and MCAS. Diagnosed after finding an amazing allergist, but took over 2 years of suffering and seeing over 20 specialists. I’ve identified some of my triggers and now avoid them. Also, lots of meds - antihistamines, mast cell stabilizers and Xolair.
@ThePOTSPostman I was grateful for the suggestion from a member of my family. I’d been very unwell for nearly 2 years - actually became nonfunctional, couldn’t work or manage daily life. I had seen 21 specialists and had so many tests, scanned head to toe and still no answers.
🔴 Ever wondered how Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) might develop?
Could persistent infections and disrupted mucosal barriers contribute to mast cell activation?

@ImmunoThings As someone living with HaT & MCAS, I find this fascinating! So much attention goes toward managing symptoms, but understanding what drives persistent MC activation is just as important. Is there growing evidence supporting this connection, or is it still largely theoretical?
