The federal government currently owes Social Security roughly $2.6 TRILLION. For decades, Social Security surpluses were invested in Treasury securities, allowing Treasury to use that cash for other federal financing while promising repayment with interest. Social Security didn’t create the national debt. It has been one of the federal government’s creditors.

Any POTS patient that has been seen by a a good autonomic specialist is tested for Bartonella in the beginning. It’s one of the first blood tests I had. My belief as a patient with this for 43 years is that the genetic predisposition was there prior to the straw that broke the camel’s back. Mitochondria research is important here. Some of this is also genetic. There are families with multiple generations of this stuff.
