Big big big take, but yeah I agree on this
I understand all other photo shoots except for the proposal shoots or proposal in arranged marriages.
Like honestly just why!
Indian arranged marriages pretending to be Western romance.
I don’t understand why couples do a public proposal after their arranged marriage has already been fixed.
I mean, seriously! Your parents sat down with her parents. They made an Excel sheet, and you put whatever you wanted from their family in a dowry tab, and they accepted it.
And now you are going down on one knee and asking for her hand in marriage.
This is not love. This is a merger.
The entire point of a live proposal is the chance that, okay, maybe she rejects you. And the romantic part is that you know she will say yes, and she says yes.
Maybe she did say no, and her parents just auto-corrected her response.
You sent her a meeting invite, and she was added to that meeting without her consent.
And then after this, they’ll also do a proposal shoot. They’ll call a photographer and they’re like, ’Yeah, do this shoot for us.’
This photographer himself got an arranged marriage, and he’s telling the groom where to put his hands to make it look more romantic.
None of this is romance. This is a press conference.
This is when you’re announcing to all your stakeholders that the merger is successful.
