My last add-on to this. I told my Marketing Executive partner that this has been a constant pattern from management, plus all the things observed by Blooms who has been here longer me, and all she had to say was this:
“If it has been going on for years, don’t you think the excuse for trial and error is already redundant and abhorrently inexcusable? I haven’t worked in the Filipino marketing industry, but that’s just egregious if we’re strictly talking about management and marketing. If you have data showing this hasn’t worked, or you’re clearly not making progress—management needs to step up and hire actual professionals who can deliver sound results. It’s not wrong to keep your employees, people who you’ve worked with through the years, but clearly there’s a problem within their team.
Either the ones handling the marketing and coordination are not qualified, which needs to be addressed if so. Or they’re overworked and stretched thin so they can’t focus on what needs to be done, which tells me they lack planning and organisation. That’s where management should step up to identify the gaps. These are not things they should rely on their artists to fix because what can the girls do? They’re performers.
This problem doesn't belong to their artists; it’s management.
It’s clear to me that the higher-ups and their team lack vision for the product as a whole. They don’t seem to have done any preparation or research now that they’ve entered a bigger market than they’re used to, if this is how they’re operating.
But that’s what I don’t understand about their attitude and decisions, it seems. Why not hire qualified professionals to deal with this? Why not delegate these roles to professionals who can make their lives easier? Are you seriously telling me they don’t have access to people in the industry willing to work for a corporation as big as ABS CBN and Star Magic? They’re not a startup in this industry; they surely don’t need their hands held or to be dressed down like this, as if they’re children navigating it for the first time. And if they’re this skint for money, either someone is lying to their faces or the one handling the finances is putting that money elsewhere.
Hire qualified professionals! Expand their team! Continue training your employees to improve their skills rather than being complacent and having the mindset of “okay na yan,” because it’s one of the things I hate seeing as a consumer. What more pa as a boss within my own team?
It’s not something management should ever tolerate because that’s where you get half-assed work sold to the public, and in the end, who are the faces of that product?
Of course, it’s BINI.
Their brand and the girls will be the first clear target once the fallout from unsatisfied consumers becomes a problem. It may not be the girls’ fault, but to me it seems their management lacks care and has little to no responsibility when it comes to the quality they continue to churn out just to sell unsatisfactory products to the fans and the masses. If that’s how they choose to operate in the long run, it’s not going to go anywhere for them.”

I’m only coming back alive after telling my partner what has been going on in the fandom. She’s not a Bloom, but a very concerned Marketing Executive. She handles big trade shows here in England, so she’s more well-versed in this stuff than I am.
While she admires the girls for their obvious talent—when she finally saw both weeks of their Coachella performances, all she could tell me was that: “Their management really let them down that hard, huh?”
From the bare stage to Week 1’s messy camera work (from a coordinator’s standpoint), she said that it was a mess and a lost chance to highlight that this was THE FIRST Filipino act ever to set foot on Coachella.
I even told her about the budgeting issues BINI’s “management” apparently had, and all she could tell me was that it was bullshit.
“They weren’t invited to Coachella in a week. It must’ve been what? Months or let’s say half a year since they knew about their invitation to Coachella, and no one in their marketing thought or planned for production costs and scale? Of building a case to eager sponsors who would be sponsoring the first-ever Filipino act to perform at Coachella?
That should have been their selling point.
Don’t get me wrong, the girls were perfect. Their outfit team shelled out, and the performance was flawless. I can’t say anything bad about them as performers, which is why I saved my opinion until Week 2, but that stage really let them down.
To me, all it said was someone in their production or coordination team went and thought: “Okay na yan”, because that was what that stage looked like to me. Don’t even tell me that they only got to see their stage on the day? Yeah, well, Coachella has been going on for years. They could’ve researched what that stage looked like from previous performers. There are layouts of the Mojave stage online—that’s the coordinator’s fault for not taking the initiative to do research and planning.
It was obvious that their Week 2 performance improved within a short span of time, yet they couldn’t talk to Coachella’s camera people before their first performance? Also, the visual art and graphics were definitely changed, so they must’ve seen some feedback. But why wait? Why settle for mediocre stage design when your artists are giving their all in their performance? That was the glaring disconnect that stood out for me while watching their Week 1 set.
And if their budgeting was really down the drain, then something is very wrong. You’re supposed to still allocate money to whatever show or event you’re supposed to represent. And god, they are the first Filipinos to do that, and you mean to tell me they couldn’t find financial aid? Don’t even tell me the excuse that the government refused them funding; yeah, whatever—find someone else! Don’t settle with an “okay na yan” mindset because that should have been historic, and it was because of the girls, but seeing how that was all coordinated and how bare their stage was told me enough that some people in their team need to be reshuffled.
There needs to be an internal change within their team, and their management needs to look at the bigger problem: how they market their performers as a whole. Longevity-wise, I don’t see them lasting if their marketing and management are this incompetent at handling big events. It’s actually a disservice to their brand and the girls themselves.”
I’m paraphrasing, but that’s the gist of her thoughts on coordination and marketing as a professional.
I don’t know much about marketing and all that jazz, which is why I rant to her about BINI’s management and how lacklustre they are at handling the girls.
It’s actually quite sad, and overall we both feel very awful for the BINI girls. We were looking forward to seeing them here in London for the first time together, so this was not only disappointing but really telling of their team and management’s lack of preparation and care.
TEAM BLOOM EU STATEMENT
Dear EU Blooms,
Team Bloom EU has spoken with BINI’s management regarding the postponement of the Signals World Tour Europe stops.
During the conversation, we raised the concerns of EU Blooms and asked for clarity regarding the circumstances surrounding the postponement. Several matters were discussed, including tour planning, logistics, promotion, venue-related concerns, fan impact, and the overall situation surrounding the Europe leg.
We also emphasized that EU Blooms deserve proper communication, especially after many fans had already made financial and personal commitments based on the announced dates and venues including flights, hotels, work leaves, family plans, and fan project expenses.
Team Bloom EU also raised that an official statement should be released to address the concerns of fans directly. Management has acknowledged this and stated that they aim to release a statement within a week at the earliest.
For now, all Team Bloom EU fan projects related to Signals WT Europe will remain on hold until further notice. We will continue to maintain our transparency report regarding donations, expenses, and project status.
We understand the disappointment, frustration, and uncertainty many Blooms are feeling. Your feelings are valid, and we hear you.
Team Bloom EU will continue to communicate responsibly with the community and share updates once official information becomes available.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
For BINI, from Blooms.
