@Its_GxC @learning_yohei Got it I'm the opposite I have been focused on learning to read and it's gotten easier the more I've learned. I'm still early on though and haven't focused much on grammar or word order yet.

@Its_GxC @learning_yohei That’s really cool, everything I see about Japan makes it seem almost unreal. How much Japanese did you end up learning while you lived there?

@Its_GxC @learning_yohei It's hard to stay motivated. I've been practicing on and off for about a year and am pretty early on in my studies but I feel like it would get easier when you have people to talk to about it.

@learning_yohei I'm still very early on in my studies but my current goal with learning Japanese is to be able to read the lyrics and sing along correctly and from there I feel like it wouldn't be as difficult to learn to have actual conversations with others if I go to japan in the future. 2

@learning_yohei I started playing osu! during the pandemic and that introduced me to a lot of different Japanese music, I began listening casually and after discovering more artists and songs I liked I became interested in actually trying to read the lyrics of what was being said in the songs. 1
