@acefun@7Sport The problem is that this clip is so easily manipulated into being a good thing and something special. Cate also could have still broken the world record news. My worry as well is all the positive intergration will over shadowed when things like this happen
@7Sport@Channel7 please not that disability discrimination happened when Katja and the other two ladies were forced to wait and rely on media for their results. The clip that shows Cate checking times to realize the other two ladies had placed 3rd and 4th was horrible to watch
@acefun@7Sport Also one of these athlets also came third and the other fourth it took checking times to realise this. Worst still is that these two situations have been split.
@InclusionMoves I hope so as one of the biggest challenges I have is making people realise is that you have to factor in neurological factors (including conditions and interlectual abilities)
@InclusionMoves This is also not isolated to one athlete which is a red flag to me and when something happens to 3 people in a small group of people who have low iq I think bigger questions need to be raised. My take away is that there are more issues here than simply being late
@InclusionMoves I also don’t think the take away here is that the rules need to be relaxed but other factors be taken into consideration. As long as it doesn’t effect the running of an event if errors like this occur one of the factors that should be addressed is was this the fault or the
