@JeffJTMCGA@SharifHajiMLA The cost of separation is very high, and rightfully so. I'm certain the people so set in that stance have no idea where seperation even starts and the time and cost to make it happen. There is no plan, only these people saying it will just happen.
@JeffJTMCGA@SharifHajiMLA Alberta is still running the "Alberta is Calling" program. Started before COVID, hasn't stopped. Nothing in place to handle the situation.
@JeffJTMCGA@SharifHajiMLA I feel like someone told you that and you took that as absolute fact. It's nowhere close to that. But I will concede that the system has become very soft. Children (and adults) need to learn that sometimes things don't go your way and you have to live with that and move on.
@JeffJTMCGA@SharifHajiMLA Yet unemployment is still over 7%. When do the handouts to oil and gas start helping the people of Alberta? (Spoiler, they never do)
Only the Maritimes have been worse.
@JeffJTMCGA@SharifHajiMLA I'm not sure if you were getting to the point, but neither the federal or provincial government was prepared in any way to handle the influx of people into the country.
@JeffJTMCGA@SharifHajiMLA That's not the root cause or the majority of Alberta's debt. In Canada, also it takes about five years before immigrants start to give back monetarily.
@JeffJTMCGA@SharifHajiMLA I'm not a Conservative, Liberal, NDPer. I'm a person. I want the same thing as most other. A good education for my kid. A decent retirement for my grandparents. Healthcare that can actually handle the population it serves. I'm tired of people attacking one another.
@JeffJTMCGA@SharifHajiMLA Just because you say it, doesn't make it so. Unless you're a "producer" there is no reason you should be crying for them. These "producers" haven't been doing jack shit. Next time do some research first.
