most web3 games don’t fail because the game is bad.
they fail because nobody actually wants to play it.
too much focus on:
tokenomics
nft drops
hype
airdrops
and not enough on:
fun
retention
community
gameplay
if you need to pay players to keep playing, you don’t have a game.
you have an incentive system.
build something people would play even without the token.
then give them a reason to own it.
most web3 energy systems suck. they’re either pure pay-to-win or cap your playtime to 5 minutes a day.
in blox fields, energy is all about daily strategy. fair, grindable, and balanced.
most web3 games crash and burn because they build a stock market instead of a video game. nobody wants to play a spreadsheet with a pixel skin.
when you put the token before the gameplay, the only people who stick around are speculators who leave the second the yield drops. true longevity comes from loops that are actually fun to play even if the crypto part vanished tomorrow.
building a farming sim right now to prove you can have real ownership without sacrificing the core cozy game loop.
@hanseaticeth solana offers instant permissionless execution, sub-cent fees, and global speed that no app UI can replicate. memes were just the stress test for throughput, real builders are using that speed to ship actual apps and games while tradfi stays trapped in its own silos
@Lauren_A_Hall0@MarcellxMarcell@cz_binance@vladtenev@cobie memecoins stress tested the network, now games get to leverage the speed.
if a chain can handle high-frequency memecoin volume without crashing, it means the throughput can easily support thousands of sub-second micro-txs for actual games.
@deprofus@jindu_ facts. getting in early on solana gaming ecosystem plays lets you stack genesis assets, lock in early governance weight, and build an audience before the mainnet floodgates open. latecomers always end up buying the tops from alpha participants
fucking brutal man, the crypto fatigue is real when every bridge or rotation feels like you're just transferring funds directly into top-buyer status.
robinhood mooning right after you spend months fighting jeets and PVP liquidity on solana is classic market disrespect. bridging over to catch the hype right as a local top forms happens to literally everyone in this space, but it doesn't make the drawdown hurt any less.
take a breather and step back for a minute before making any fast revenge trades to try and get it back. market's always gonna be throwing up opportunities, but chasing green candles across chains when you're tilted is usually how the market gets a second bite.
@Marcus_Analyst@SheikhSaeedAl lol true, once you get hooked on instant finality and sub-cent fees you can never go back to waiting 10 minutes for a transaction to clear
@sahar1371ak@ayanokoji_yoz@cifer_security web2 tracked everything and web3 was too transparent, but private micro-transactions are the real holy grail for onchain gaming and apps
@tulass_tulass3 100%. agents handling micro-txs onchain is the exact sweet spot for solana. speed + fraction-of-a-cent fees make autonomous finance actually viable. future is automated
@iam_barron01@yogikims so true. liquidity always finds a way, reg pressure on centralized exchanges just pushes everyone onchain anyway. solana speed + low fees are built for this exact shift
most web3 games failed because developers built tokenomics before they built a playable game loop.
if your game forces a player to wait 15 seconds for a wallet popup every time they perform an action, you didn't build a game, you built a slow app with graphics.
@solana is the only l1 speed-wise that allows builders to hide the blockchain in the background.
players don't want to think about gas, block times, or RPCs. we're building our game on @solana to make web3 invisible.
@bewifi24@stacy_muur solana is fine. the hype tourists left, but the builders are still here. we’re building blox fields on solana and we’re not going anywhere
