Todays my older brothers birthday, looking back on it, having a brother in the sport of wrestling is probably cooler than any other sport. Here’s a post about brothers in wrestling and my brother specifically.
It’s almost funny to think how bad brothers want to see each other win in this sport after absolutely tearing each other apart in practice rooms across the country. We place higher expectations on each other and know each other to our cores. Brother’s in wrestling are the first to celebrate with and cry with after coming off the mat. At the end of the day, we’re lucky to have each other.
My brother has helped coach multiple state champions for our small town, Freedom Wi (God’s Country). After a full day of framing houses with my dad he would come to practice to be my partner so I could get extra reps, he did this with my cousin Evan and our younger teammate Sam as well after, both who went on to win titles the over the next 2-3 years as well. My brother had an incredible feel for coaching wrestling, finding how to work through positions and cater a style for the guys he coached individually.
He never took the glory. Not once did my brother say “I helped you or him become a champion” during his time coaching. There are brothers and coaches around the world like him and they are the true ambassadors of the sport.
Happy birthday @AustenVosters
@shagbark_hick@William8rannick@pclarkallen Used to have the most prevalence(besides Lyme PA or wherever it originated) of Lyme Disease in the southwest portion of the state, but now it’s all over the northeast and Midwest. I’d say it’s just as bad as anywhere, don’t really hear folks back home complaining about them.
People get tore up if you say their region of people wouldn’t fair well in an apocalypse scenario.
Guns won’t help you survive very long, there is a lot more to surviving than guns.
Most of the population of any region is fat, weak and reliant on meds.
Most are screwed.
@nateobrienn@JoshuaLisec I don’t know who needs to hear this, but a simple google search will tell you that the whole opossum tick eating thing was just the results of a terrible study.
@DWKUSMC2111 @HillbillyDNA Head shape is a bad identification tool when it comes to venomous, many non-venomous snakes can change their head shape too look scarier/venomous(and for other reasons , depending on Hillbilly’s location, copperheads and cottonmouths, timberrattlers are the only venomous dudes.
One person's dream crushes another in wrestling always. I think Mendez is truly one of the rare universally liked wrestlers that goes beyond school and his reaction was heartbreaking.
His story is just beginning and I think everyone is rooting for him as he reps USA
Cold exposure and heat exposure both offer you benefits, so the most time efficient thing to do is get both at the same time with room temperature exposure.
