@CityScapesNC One more "celebrity" who thinks she is a masterclass of our nation's policies. One more clueless idiot who needs to stick to her genuine talents.
Jerry started working at Subway in 1990.
He had Down syndrome.
He could not speak very well.
He shook when he made mistakes with orders.
But he came to work every day.
He learned the customers' names.
He remembered their favorite orders.
He also told jokes, even if they were not always funny.
The Subway store changed over the years.
But Jerry stayed and worked there.
He never missed a single work shift.
He even worked on the day his mother died.
On his last working day, many people came to see him.
The line went outside the store.
People came to thank Jerry, not just to buy food.
They gave him a plaque for 33 years of service.
Jerry held the plaque close to his heart.
He softly asked, "Did I do good?"
Everyone became emotional and cried.
