I still think about this effing hot mess long haired piercing guy who is just a little too silly to be jealous of himself from time to time

#OrdinaryLove Thank you goat for describing the charm of the stories without using the word "human drama"
and referred to them as they are what they are "stories about same-sex relationship".

#LifeInSmokeyBlue a 9.5/10 (0.5 for my bias towards Takeda Kouhei-san)
The series started on fire, then skimmed through several life chapters of the two characters, while touching deep topics like grief, finding one's place in life, parents-child relationship, and coming-out to family, and finally wrapped up beautifully. This is how we do an adult romance just right. I love this just as much as I love What Did You Eat Yesterday 2 (with a lot of affection for both the lead actors).
The story is rich and engaging, both leads have crazy chemistry, and the mood is melancholic and with eye-pleasing cinematography I honestly couldn't ask for more.
There are things that I'd do differently of course. But I believe directors had their own rationale for these so yeah overall it's still a really well crafted drama.
I hope there will be a sequel for this (and Old Fashion Cupcake too please).
