I spent two years working with Stephen Miller.

His appointment as White House chief of staff is among the most dangerous personnel decisions in the history of our republic.

I say that without reservation.

[Jonah Goldberg @JonahDispatch]

Steven Miller's immigration policy has taken arguably the GOP's best issue and made it a liability. He, second only to Trump himself, is responsible for blowing up the multiracial coalition that elected Trump in 2024 and sparked the GOP's dream of a multiracial working class coalition. He's also probably the single most despised person in American politics. So of course, Trump appointed him Chief of Staff after getting humiliated at the polls. It's so perfect.

@scott_colom @NickKristof @ArunChaud I’ve told at least a dozen people to watch this ad since Election Day, and I never tell people to watch political ads. So powerful.

[Scott Colom @scott_colom]

Excited to tell the story of my closing ad & my favorite of the campaign. @ArunChaud started coming to MS before the primary to help us understand organic digital campaigning and the vibes of MS. He returned several times.

As we discussed our closing ad, he suggested we do something outside the Medgar home & pay homage to voting rights as the closing message, something he knew was of the upmost importance to me. He wrote a beautiful script & @RyanSayles_ again worked his magic on the camera. I’ll be eternally grateful for them.

I kept thinking I was reading this chart wrong. Hard to overstate how wild it is that turnout among young Latina women outpaced that of young white women in both TX & GA.

Four years ago, Pres. Biden nominated Scott Colom to serve as a federal judge in Mississippi.

Mississippi Republican Senator Roger Wicker supported the nomination of Mr. Colom. The state's other senator, Cindy Hyde-Smith, refused to do so based on absurd claims.

Mr. Colom reached to Sen. Hyde-Smith to address her concerns and respectfully point out misunderstandings on her part and appeal to her better angels.

Other prominent Mississippi Republicans reached out to Sen. Hyde-Smith asking her to reconsider and support Mr. Colom's nomination.

She still refused, effectively killing his nomination for no good reason.

She's now on the verge of losing her seat to Scott Colom, who would have never been a threat if she had supported his judicial nomination.

Scott Colom now ahead of Cindy Hyde Smith by *exactly* 2,000 votes in Mississippi

[Maria Cardona @MariaTCardona]

Such sweet revenge!!!

[David Weigel @daveweigel]

Another one I missed last night: Kansas AG Kris Kobach down by 11,000 votes.

In 2020, Rs prodded Marshall into the Senate race out of fear that Kobach would win the nomination and blow it. And now they're both #OpenToWork

Tiffany Smiley is just a useless party hack spouting talking points. PBS could do so much better for the R perspective. #newshour #pbs

This Haley Stevens thing reminds me that gas in Michigan is $4.57 and diesel is $6.68 because the President started a war with Iran that Mike Rogers has been wanting for his entire professional life.

[Nicholas Burns @RNicholasBurns]

My friend @BaleDaltonFL needs your support to win in Florida’s 7th. Bale is a Navy veteran, former NASA Chief of Staff and inspiring leader in his hometown district. Please consider voting for him.

These missiles will not be delivered (if they get delivered at all) for "years". It is being said 2030 at the earliest. It is Trump reacting to all the terrible press for supporting Putin and will not make the slightest difference in the war.
People need to be honest about it.

We have a loved one scheduled to be on this flight. He will be killed if he’s returned to the Taliban. He supported the US mission in Afghanistan. He has broken no laws. He came here legally. Seeking asylum should not be a death sentence.

Removing sanctions on the multibillion-dollar fund, called the Russian Direct Investment Fund, would be a significant unwinding of the yearslong U.S. effort to use economic pressure to get Russia to change its behavior.

ICYMI in 2025 (and previous years): Russian state TV said that in his second term, Trump would cut off aid to Ukraine, destroy relations with allies, disrupt internal workings of the U.S. government, lift Russian sanctions, and withdraw America from NATO.
