JUST IN: 🇺🇸🇪🇸Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to Donald Trump:
"Twenty-three years ago, the U.S. dragged us into Iraq over claims of weapons of mass destruction. None were found. You cannot fool us twice."
Three days ago, @stateofmaldives posted an informative piece stating that a 5.2M earthquake could potentially occur in Maldives region within the coming days, based on what they described as atmospheric precursors, developing fluctuations across the Central Indian Ocean, and activity around the Carlsberg Ridge.
@MetMaldives then rushed to issue a statement saying such claims were false.
We all know earthquakes cannot be predicted with certainty. But we also know that people analyse data and observations to assess probabilities and identify areas of increased seismic risk. That is what State of Maldives attempted to do. They were talking about a possibility, not claiming an earthquake would occur.
Today, a 5.3M earthquake struck Chagos region. Your post is wrong, @MetMaldives. It’s 5.3M, not 5.4M.
This is how public confidence is lost.
If there was anything scientifically inaccurate in what State of Maldives presented, you could have addressed those specific points. Instead, you misrepresented their post as claiming an earthquake would happen and dismissed it outright, so you could act as the sole authority on these matters.
The reality is that you do not independently determine or generate this data either. You also rely on external monitoring networks, datasets and scientific analyses, just as State of Maldives does.
The difference is that State of Maldives explained complex information in a way that the average person could understand. And they talked about a possibility.
Confirmed.
@aaaaaidh has divorced his wife after refusing to help with her father’s kidney transplant. He ended the marriage to rid himself of the headaches, believing he shouldn’t waste his savings on her family.
Why don't I see any fish in fish factory zone.
If this somekind of new development going backwards to 40 year back. If would say we had more development fishing industry back those days. Maldivians don't know what really god have given for them. They are choosing.....
Yes, State Pharmacy is inflating the price so they can hire political appointees, pay their salaries, award unwanted (such as marketing work) contracts to PNC affiliated businesses. This was difficult under STO cause public owned a large % of STO shares and public board directors were also there but with State Pharmacy, it’s operating like Fenaka. Now it makes sense why Muizzu moved STO Pharmacies under State Pharmacy.
The president who announces things but never delivers, like the promise of developing 10 resorts and giving universal income to every Maldivian, like the Thinadhu Int’l airport promise, like the 8 billion USD financial centre promise, like the Maldives Development Bank😂
The decision by Guizzu to transfer STO Pharmacies to State Pharmacy was driven by the fact that conducting corruption was far more difficult under STO. As a publicly listed company with shares held by the public, it was subject to greater scrutiny.
But State Pharmacy is fully gov owned, which has enabled the inflation of medicine prices to finance political patronage jobs and to siphon funds through inflated contracts awarded to businesses affiliated with PNC.
At the end of the day, the inflated prices you pay end up in Guizzu and PNC pockets.
Things are going from bad to worse.
This injection was sold at STO Pharmacy for 2,480.90 MVR.
Now the gov’s State Pharmacy is quoting 6,580.32 MVR for the SAME injection after STO Pharmacy was moved under State Pharmacy.
Even after paying for the order, State Pharmacy has failed to deliver it. The patient is going mental over this, not knowing what to do. The 30% advance payment is gone, the injection hasn’t arrived, and the patient doesn’t even know when it will come.
🚨Confirmed.
This might sound a little unbelievable but bear with me.
MACL Ali Huzaim (HR Head) has gone to Nepal to interview and recruit 21 Nepalese for MACL baggage handling department and now come to Male’ with them. 21 Maldivians replaced by 21 foreigners.
Maldives Premier Bank is exploiting its staff. None of the employees have formal contracts, yet they work excessively long hours without overtime pay or insurance coverage.
The bank is also permitting Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) to open accounts without proper documentation. It’s also instructing some customers to transfer money directly to a few selected staff accounts, after which staff are required to withdraw and redeposit the funds into customer accounts, which is weird. @NurainJanah@JanahMohamedAli
