This is sports. There's a winner and a loser, a positive and a negative, a good and a bad on every play. Support your team, fan how you want to fan, but direct your disappointment where it's warranted.
Thanks for coming to my @TEDTalks.

The broadcast feeds off the energy of the atmosphere. A national broadcast isn't ever going to be completely neutral, as much as you think it should be.

Wrigley for the @Cubs was INCREDIBLE last night and the broadcast matched that. If #WrigleyNorth is rocking on Saturday after a big hit from the @Brewers, the broadcast has every right to match that too.

@tmars7@espn The @Cubs broadcast was brutal too. Tough angles, blurry from camera to camera, couldn’t figure out the sun/shadows for the brightness. @espn made @WatchMarquee look ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Such a shame considering how good all the local broadcasts have gotten and fan expectations.
@sahadevsharma@PJ_Mooney@FoulTerritoryTV Which prospects should we be genuinely excited about impacting the team in 2025 and which should we completely not get our hopes up assuming they’re packing at the deadline? Where is my heart the safest? If there’s a BIG deadline add, what position is your money on?
From someone who knew John a bit during my time with Lafayette Athletics, this is pretty spot on. Well written, @dcsportsbog. A fitting tribute.
Now for a re-read of, “The Last Amateurs.”
Ok here is my John Feinstein thread. It's gonna be long.
I saw someone praise him yesterday by saying he never made it about himself, which struck me as just about exactly wrong. He ALWAYS made it about himself. It's who he was, at least as long as I knew him
Always enjoyed working with @PeteMedhurst during my time at @GoLeopards when we faced @NavyAthletics. Heartbreaking news and certainly sending all the best wishes his way.
Pete Medhurst, the voice of @NavyAthletics, has been diagnosed with brain cancer. Medhurst, a lifelong Shady Side resident, will undergo surgery Friday morning to remove a brain tumor.
