This will probably never reach you, but man, I really hope @Erling knows how much America loves you. You completely changed how I see soccer and got a whole younger generation excited to actually play the sport. You might not have lifted the World Cup, but winning our hearts is one hell of a consolation prize. Here’s to you won day achieving all of your goals. #row
For people that still don’t seem to understand #CFBPlayDontPay, the issue is not just that microtransactions are in our sandbox modes… it’s that XP and Progression have been seriously slowed so that the only real way you can fully upgrade is by using real money after you’ve already paid for the game
Yesterday EA partially responded due to #CFBPlayDontPay, but they did almost nothing. It felt like they were seeing what they could get away with.
However, this shows they’re willing to cave now, but we have to keep making our voices heard
They’re probably thrilled it’s Friday, and hoping this all blows over during the weekend, but it won’t until they give the community what they deserve
Remove microtransactions from single player game modes and put back ALL of the fast XP sliders that were just in CFB 26.
If you think the microtransactions aren’t a big deal right now I need you to understand the design of CFB games will fundamentally change forever to get more and more out of the consumer. Modes will get worse and more grindy so you spend more. Features will be taken away to make room for this stuff. We have evidence all across the gaming world. Don’t let this happen to our game. #CFBPlayDontPay
We got some movement but it still misses the mark. The fastest option as it was last year is still not here. Anything less than the progression that was there previously makes it look like we are being incentivized to spend money.
RTG also appears to not have changed at all. These are offline single-player modes, why are we creating friction that wasn't previously there?
If you simply wanted to make progression harder that's one thing. You can't make it harder while also including a way to spend money to bypass it. That's not a coincidence, that's strategic friction. Now going forward, we can only assume the modes are being designed with this intent in mind if you do not change things back to how they were. #CFBPlayDontPay
