@FoolOfD You could afford a mortgage for a house on $200k, even the $1M house. You can put down 3.5%, although 20% is ideal. 3.5% of $1M is $35k, and 20% is $200k. If you save, it’ll be doable. $800k across 30 years is $2.2k a month, probably closer to $3k with insurance and tax.

@cmkosemen Keanu Reeves was already famous and a millionaire, so it’s not really a fair comparison. Also, it’s not like he received all of the $300 million. I’m sure he got a chunk of it, but so did multiple companies and people. Why is he the only one being asked to give up his money?
