Austin has ~ 1.2 cops per thousand residents. The national *average* for cities >500,000 is 2.4/1000. Austin is grossly under-policed, and Prop A would only get Austin to 2.0, still below average. The "save our parks and libraries" crowd is at best disingenuous.
