i believe the reason america was funding 100s of billions to ukraine and getting involved in this war was not because they care about ukraine but because russia and ukraine staying allies could be seen as a threat.

by funding ukraine you can keep them killing each other, weakening them both. it’s clever but evil considering how many men are being dragged into war and dieing because of it. it seems like trump is trying to keep good relations with both putin and zelenskyy because although uniting them may not weaken russia, it’ll reduce the risk of world war 3 (nuclear war) or continuing to build enmity with with a nuclear power house like russia.

the absence of war isn’t necessarily peace but that’s why this is so difficult because long term peace is virtually impossible now that whoever was pulling the strings for biden has empowered zelenskyy to be a “tough guy” as trump puts it
