its a good series! i did enjoy it! but i just think a lot of the romantic pairings felt forced when the characters involved are interesting enough to stand on their own without being shoehorned into hetero pairings

imo the romance in the series is pretty weak. rowan has no personality outside of being a warrior and simping for aelin, the dorian/sorscha plot was boring af, yrene/chaol gives me bad vibes (i still like the characters tho), and lysandra deserved WAY better than aedion
