I swear if I had a penny everytime someone looked at my korean notebook and asked me if I was learning chinese, I'd certainly be able to buy a textbook.
The kind of progress I've made since I've been in therapy truly amazes me!
It's a lot of work for sure, but prioritising my mental health was probably one of the best decisions I made in 2022.
Happy to be back and can't wait to resume my language learning journey 💖
When people dismiss therapy with, "Therapy is just talking," I like to say, "Oh, so you have the *same* kinds of conversations at home?"
Then people try therapy and the first thing they say is, "Wow, therapy *isn't* just talking."
Are you ready to try therapy in 2023?🤔
Today I went to a German library (Goethe Institut) and spoke to the librarian in German, it's the first time I've spoken the language out loud to a person and it made me SO HAPPY afsksksksks 😭😭

@cia24k Can't wrap my head around why anyone would do this??? 😭
Ignore them, they're probably projecting their insecurities.
I'm sorry this happened to you, 힘내세요! 💪
@faith_xmx I'm from India, but I went to a Christian School and we'd sing hymns + Christian songs every morning.
I know so many by-heart, I miss it so much noww 😭
@MartinHumpty I've been keeping a gratitude journal for a while now. Writing it in your target language seems like a brilliant idea!
Will definitely be doing this noww, thank you! ☺️
I honestly don't know what I'd do without languages 🥺
It's one of the few things that make me happy right now. I hope things get better, but at the moment, I'm grateful for languages <3
@EnHanteach4 I've restarted language learning recently and it feels amazing to wake up everyday and look forward to doing something I like. I genuinely enjoy the process even though it takes time to see progress. It's honestly helped me a lot :) (2/2)
@EnHanteach4 To put it simply, it feels nice to be passionate about something again.
The past two years (the pandemic esp) have been really difficult for me and I found myself constantly unmotivated to do anything, and was perpetually sad (1/2)
