Everyone has their own sins. Maybe yours isn’t alcohol, clubbing, cussing or adultery. Maybe yours is simply thinking you're better than them. Arrogance and ego.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
-Ephesians 2:8-9
I always think that love is less about finding someone perfect and more about choosing, day after day, to see the beauty and forgive the flaws in the imperfect person beside you.
Kevin James dropped a powerful reminder about prayer and God.
He said if you look back at all the things you once prayed desperately about, they all got taken care of, maybe not exactly how you wanted, but in a better way. The things that once kept you up at night aren’t even worries anymore.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds.” - Philippians 4:6-7
Theo Von hits deep on why he chooses belief.
He gets why some are atheists. But for him? He’s felt alone too much.
So when someone offers a free Parent, a free Love, a free Being out there in the universe that says you’re not just floating by yourself… he’s buying the ticket. All day.
He wants to be part of something bigger. He wants to feel his spirit bump into his parents, grandparents, ancestors, somewhere safe on the other side.
Even if it’s just a chance, he’ll take it.
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.”
Romans 3:23-24
Never judge another persons morality according to your righteousness. Nobody's the standard of righteousness, Jesus Christ is. We all need help, grace and mercy.
