@davepband I think there is still value particularly in the staying ranks and in NZ doing a bit of work on pedigrees and on type and being a little bit patient. One of the racing syndicates I run targets 3yr old fillies who can stay. Is a process but worthwhile. We target Karaka.

Anyone who has interacted with Vicky - or seen her tireless work trying to correct the misinformation around racing and improve its social license - simply must be outraged by the allegations from Peter Vlandys.

As a (for profit) start up in racing, I know how hard it is to get off the ground and try to make a positive difference. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like to keep pushing down brick walls as a not-for-profit and sinking so much unpaid time into it.
