Ikatan Darah [2026]
Directed By: Sidharta Tata

"A former martial arts athlete must face a network of loan sharks to save her younger brother, who is trapped in online gambling debt and risking their family’s safety"

Film got a lot of love during its festival rounds especially at @bigbadfilmfest this past August. With veteran stunt performers and choreographers in the industry out in Indonesia from the likes of Yandi Sutisna, Erik Rukmana, and Rama Ramadhan.

Expect to see that brutal violence that Indonesia Martial Arts Action films are known for. Considering the director has done horror films as well you see some good gore here.

The lead actress, Livi Ciananta had a very good martial arts debut in the film "Bonnie 2024" a few years ago and was curious if she will do more action since her first few outings have been horror films.

So, it was a joy to see her again in this film. The story might drag a little for some, but the action makes up for it and is just a fun overall film.
