What a month across Blueprint! 🙌
In the Foundations Track, residents dug into Church Membership—why meaningful commitment, clarity, and accountability matter, and how healthy membership strengthens a church’s witness in the community.
In the Framework Track, residents explored A People Who Pray—seeing how corporate and personal prayer shape the culture of a compelling church and fuel its mission.
Two different tracks, one shared goal: faithful pastors and building compelling churches.

Foundations Track cohorts considered “The Pastor and His Home: A Man Who Points His Family to Christ,” discussing what it means to shepherd those closest to us.
Framework Track cohorts explored “The Pastor and Self-Awareness: Assessing Calling and Giftings,” learning how God-given design shapes faithful ministry.
We’re grateful for rich conversations, honest reflection, and the Spirit’s work in each gathering.

When pastors lead from their strengths and understand their limits, ministry becomes more sustainable — and more joyful.
In October, Blueprint residents are studying The Pastor and Self-Awareness: Assessing Calling and Giftings. Using insights from Patrick Lencioni’s The 6 Types of Working Genius, they’re reflecting on how God has uniquely shaped their leadership and how to serve the church out of who He’s made them to be.
Want to grow in your own leadership self-awareness? Pick up The 6 Types of Working Genius and explore how God has wired you to serve.

This fall, new and aspiring pastors across North Carolina have stepped into Blueprint cohorts. Each monthly session is designed to help them build a framework for faithful ministry, learn from seasoned pastors, and grow as shepherds who reflect Christ to their flocks.
Pray with us that the Lord would use this season of training and fellowship to strengthen His church.
🙏 “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2

Last month, Residency Project NC cohorts tackled a key challenge: How do we understand and engage the communities around us?
Churches can miss opportunities to share the gospel because they lack awareness of their neighborhoods—or feel unequipped to reach out. In April, we focused on Understanding and Engaging Your Community: Foundation of a Sent Church. We were reminded that we are exiles in a foreign land, called to live faithfully and courageously for Christ.
Through Scripture, discussion, and real-life examples, residents gained practical tools to better understand their mission field and lead churches that reach their communities with humility, compassion, and bold gospel witness.

📣 March Recap: Developing and Sending Leaders
In March, our Residency Project NC cohorts focused on a crucial—yet often neglected—priority in the local church: developing and sending leaders.
For too long, leadership development in many churches has been informal or inconsistent. But pastors are called to equip the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12), and that includes building intentional pathways to raise up and send out leaders.
In the cohorth gatherings, we talked about:
✅ Recovering a biblical vision for developing leaders in the local church
✅ Exploring practical, reproducible models for identifying and training emerging leaders
✅ Evaluating current practices and pinpointed areas for growth
✅ Equipping pastors to take concrete steps toward creating a leadership development plan rooted in their church’s mission
Residents were reminded that a healthy church isn’t just a gathered church—it’s a sent church. And developing leaders is one of the most faithful ways to extend the gospel’s reach.

February Recap! 📖✨
This month, Residency Project NC cohorts dug deep into Intentional Discipling Relationships—exploring how to move beyond attendance-based models to create an intentional, transformational, and sustainable discipleship culture. Using Deep Discipleship by J.T. English, we examined barriers to healthy discipleship and practical ways to foster real growth in our churches.
We were also honored to have Dr. Chuck Lawless and his @sebts team lead a Preaching Lab at @pbcconcord with a focus on Developing Expository Sermons – Sermon Preparation and Organization.
Looking forward to seeing how this learning will shape discipleship in our churches across the state.

January kicked off strong as all our cohorts gathered to dive into A People-Centered in the Word: Fuel for a Compelling Church. Residents wrestled with a critical question: How do we move from affirming the sufficiency of Scripture to structuring a church that truly reflects it?
Through teaching, discussion, and practical reflection, we explored how the Word shapes every aspect of the church—worship, preaching, community, and ministry rhythms. Residents left encouraged and equipped to lead churches that are not just rooted in Scripture theologically but actively shaped by it in every area.
We’re grateful for the rich discussions and the dedication of pastors striving to lead Word-centered churches in North Carolina.

We’re Back! 🚀
Residency gatherings kick off this January, and we’re diving into an essential topic: A People-Centered in the Word: Fuel for a Compelling Church.
How do we move from believing in the sufficiency of Scripture to structuring a church that lives it out? This month, we’ll explore how the Word of God fuels every aspect of a thriving, biblical church—worship, preaching, community, and ministry rhythms.
Residents will gather this month to learn about this topic and to get prepared, connected and mobilized for faithful ministry.
Registration for the 2025-2026 cohorts will launch soon!
