Today at David Parker Farms in New Bern, North Carolina, I joined @Sonderling47 and agricultural leaders from across the state for a tour of David’s farm, producer roundtable, and press conference focused on the future of American agriculture.
We heard directly from fishermen and agricultural producers across several of North Carolina’s key industries—including tobacco, seafood, sweet potatoes, soybeans, and cotton—about the challenges they face and the opportunities ahead. We also highlighted the Trump Administration's H-2A labor reforms, which are reducing labor costs for North Carolina farmers by more than 31% and helping save producers nationwide nearly $2.5 billion annually.
From lowering costs to opening new markets, USDA is putting farmers first and delivering results for rural America.
Lt. Gov. Burt Jones Debates Empty Podium Since Runoff Opponent Skipped Atlanta Press Club Debate
@burtjonesforga said, "If my opponent was here…I would just ask him very simply, what is the deal with the Medicare fraud and the $750,000 in settlement money that he paid the Department of Justice? I would ask him about his campaign contributions to Stacey Abrams, as well as Liz Cheney and Geoff Duncan, and his association with organizations like Planned Parenthood. And last but not least, I would ask him about the question I tripped him up on last time he was on stage, How many illegals do you have working for your company? How many illegal immigrants do you have working at your home? And obviously he couldn't answer that question then. It's probably the reason why he's not here now is he doesn't have any answers for these."

Congresswoman @JenKiggans observed, "Virginia is headed toward the first partial government shutdown in our Commonwealth’s history because of Democrat dysfunction and failed leadership. Democrats in the General Assembly adjourned in April from their session without reaching a budget agreement — even while prioritizing some of the most radical legislation in the country. Weeks later, Virginians still have no answers, no certainty, and no evidence that meaningful progress has been made. The budget deadline is June 30…. We will be watching….!!”
