Do you use buses regularly in Bengaluru and think we deserve better bus stops?
Ooravni foundation is conducting a bus stop audit and is looking for volunteers who can capture the on-ground reality of our bus stops.

@hungrymaada@GBAChiefComm@Captain_Mani72@BlrCityPolice@CPBlr The street shops are why people visit. The bookshops you mention would have half the business if people didn't come for the street shops.
Instead, what we should be replacing is cars. It's a collective failure of imagination that there are cars there.
@adadithya Ola had given up on its cabs aggregation business a while back, in favour of Ola Electric. The maps thing was just to save money under the facade of nationalism cause Google Maps is expensive.
It is shocking that not many Bengaluru citizens are shocked.
The copy-paste brazenness peaked when the author is the same for BMRCL & BBMP reports prepared 4 yrs apart by different consultants.
2020 report edited (changed header & footer) to produce the 5.5 crs 2024 report.
We have got my correct answer sheet by CBSE . CBSE officials reached out to us in the evening and has sent my answer sheet, We were correct on our claims and the answer sheet indeed got exchanged .
@bengawalk@shobhitkumar__ this doesn't overlap over the metro though. The metro goes north from KFC a little before the junction.
and the park opp KFC will obviously be seen as free real estate
I'm optimistic about this not being done either, but they've taken care of not overlapping with metro here :3
Your vote is your voice.
BNP’s Voter ID Camp in Begur, organised under the Kevala Mathavala initiative, is helping citizens register, update, and correct their voter details ahead of the upcoming elections.
Begur contestant Sandeep Reddy, Yelenahalli contestant Septinda, and BNP founder Srikanth Narasimhan were on the ground along with volunteers, supporting the initiative firsthand.
From registrations to address changes, BNP volunteers are working to make the process simple and accessible for every Bengalurean.

I’ve been in a hospital for a few days attending to my mother who’s in ICU. For the attendants, the hospital has provided a dedicated waiting room. It’s amazing how inconsiderate, uncouth and idiotic people in this country are with no idea about how to behave in public and
They call it B-SMILE 😃, but for citizens it is slowly becoming B-CRY😭.
B-SMILE’s corporate structure makes it easier to keep citizens out of major public projects. Since it functions like a company and not a local municipal body, it avoids the usual public consultations and ward-level discussions that citizens deserve.
Now, ₹3,100 crore tenders for 9 flyovers are being pushed ahead without clear public consultation, local input, or proper scrutiny by BMLTA.
If bodies like BMLTA exist to oversee transport planning, why are such massive projects being cleared behind closed doors? @DKShivakumar@GBA_office@GBAChiefComm@siddaramaiah
Bengaluru deserves Transparency, Accountability, and Citizen Participation.
STOP the tendering process right now and obtain mandatory BMLTA approval first!

@ChristinMP_@siddaramaiah If this flyover happens I'll make getting out of Bangalore my top most priority. I'm optimistic about government incompetence stalling it, though.
Proposing the cutting of 100ft road Indiranagar after all the time and money spent white topping it, to build a flyover, is criminal
The construction will ruin what is arguably the only functional neighbourhood in our otherwise rotting city
I hope that sense prevails

And come back on July 31st to tell me I was wrong.
Bengaluru civic elections will NOT happen by August 31st.
Not because of citizens. But because MLAs across parties and the State Government benefit from delaying local democracy.
For nearly six years, Bengaluru has been denied the most basic layer of democracy, an elected local representative that citizens can hold accountable. Through garbage crises, flooding, broken roads and failing footpaths, we have had no corporator to question. The Supreme Court’s extension till August 31 must be the final indulgence. Bengaluru cannot be governed forever by administrators, notifications and excuses. The State Government and Election Commission must treat this as a hard deadline and restore elected local government without further delay.
What if every citizen had a direct say in how crores of rupees allocated to their ward should be spent?
That is the idea behind BNP's #HemmeyaMara campaign.
Our volunteers are going door to door, speaking with residents and asking one simple question:
"₹60 crores is coming to your ward. Where do you wish it went?"
Better roads? Cleaner streets? Safer footpaths? More trees? Reliable water supply?
Every wish matters.
Each aspiration will be compiled into a Ward Manifesto that reflects the real priorities of the people who live there and not the priorities of politicians.
This is participatory democracy in action. Citizens who don't just vote once in five years, but help shape the future of their own neighbourhood.
Your ward. Your budget. Your call.

Bengaluru elections between 14 and 24 June, says State Election Commission. A new option this time - @NammaBNP. A local-only political party is rare, but helps keep the focus on the city and its issues in a local election.

Indian Roads Congress 103 Guidelines for Pedestrian infrastructure clearly state that such ramps are to be provided at both ends of such a zebra crossing.
This is a no brainer Quality of Life Improvement!
