Do you have a favorite concert memory? Every Friday we’ll write about one of ours in a new feature, Weekend Warmup. Today the story is about Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Scuttle Buttin’” in 1984.

@StuckeyStop@CandyUSA Harold’s Chicken Shack is a must! They have one near the Loop on Wabash and a downtown food truck. And if you can get down to the Hyde Park neighborhood check at the Valois Cafeteria on 53rd Street (open 6 am to 3 pm). There is also a Harold’s on 53rd St. in Hyde Park. Enjoy!!!
By eliminating the Chicago Blues Fest, "The Home of the Blues," has turned a cold shoulder on its musical heritage. Muddy Waters is rolling in his grave in Alsip and Howlin' Wolf moans in his crypt in Hillside. The Chicago that Muddy and Wolf knew is a shell of its former self.
@ChiBluesHistory@billboard Do you know where Universal was located? There is a building on Michigan south of Roosevelt that still has the Universal emblem on it
@ChiBluesHistory@SRVOfficial Very cool! That was a few weeks before their second album came out.
Saw him a few days later on the UChicago campus at the Ida Noyes gym.
