The outgoing AUSSOM @kdfinfo Sector II Commander, Brig. Edward Banda on July 14 handed over command to Brig. Joel Maiyo during a ceremony at the Sector HQs in Kismayo. At the Dhobley Main Operating Base (MOB), Brig. Morris Wasomi also handed over command to Col. Paul Nalimo, ensuring continuity at one of the sector's key operational bases.
Brig. Banda thanked the officers and troops for their professionalism, dedication and resilience throughout their tour. He also expressed gratitude to the Federal Government of Somalia, the Jubaland State leadership, the @_AfricanUnion, mission partners and the local community for their support, before leading a minute of silence in honour of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the pursuit of peace.
Brig. Maiyo pledged to build on the gains of his predecessor and continue working with Somali Security Forces, the @_AfricanUnion and other stakeholders to strengthen #security and advance AUSSOM's mandate. At Dhobley MOB, Col. Nalimo committed to sustaining operational effectiveness, enhancing troop welfare and upholding @kdfinfo's professionalism. #AUSSOMInTheSectors
That little boy was in tears, yet he was still consoling his father. This might be the most emotional moment I’ve ever seen in football🥹❤️❤️

Three weeks ago, I got a new boss, and unlike my previous bosses, she doesn't negotiate salaries, she simply increases expenses. Halipi rent! 🤣
I have now tested fatherhood for three weeks, and I highly recommend it.The working conditions are tough: sleep is optional, overtime is mandatory, and performance reviews happen every two hours through crying🤣.But every smile from the little boss is worth the trouble.
So far, fatherhood gets a solid 10/10 recommendation from me ❤️.
