If campaigns can change how you vote at this point, then you deserve Ruto for life. Mimi hata akuje na hio team yake waishi kwa bedroom yangu, hawanitoi WANTAM.
This was actually the first thing I checked you would be so surprised aki! However from our end those aligned to H.E Edwin Watenya Sifuna's party were present and voted No to the bill!
Jana the Elections (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill that passed the Senate in December 2024 as introduced and pushed by Sen Aaron Cheruiyot was in the National Assembly who amended it and sent it back to the Senate. Now, the Senate must decide whether to accept those changes or reject them, potentially triggering a Joint Mediation Committee under Article 113 of the Constitution.
Two critical issues are at stake: how election results are transmitted to the public and the requirements for voters to recall their MPs and Senators. -They ofcourse combined these two bills because the majority of Selfish MPs would wish to take away the right of Kenyans recalling them from office when they do not perform.!!! Such Kasongo behaviour!
These are not minor details. They touch on electoral transparency, accountability and the power of citizens to hold their elected leaders to account.
Linda Mwananchi Movement Party MPs (H.E Edwin Watenya Sifuna's party) @HonWamboka@OundoMudenyo and Hon @CaroliOmondi were present in Bunge and voted NO to the proposed changes.
As Kenyans, we must pay attention to what happens in Parliament, especially when legislation directly affects our democratic rights. Pay attention to what they do when it matters, how they debate, how they vote and whether their actions reflect the interests of the people they seek to represent.
Your MP's vote is part of your democratic future. Know how they voted. Ask questions. Hold them accountable.
Now all eyes should be Senate as they now take this important task to stand with the people or to violate our right to recall MPs and on Mandatory IEBC Live streaming of election results!!
It's either the courts nulify this or we go back to the streets, mambo ni mawili, they're playing very dirty games with our future. The same MPs who passed the Finance bill know they don't stand a chance to be reelected in a free and fair election, they won't gamble with us banah
What message does this action deliver?
They are rattled and clearly their aim, through action and several utterances, is no longer a free and fair election. The problem is this is a different generation and we will not play about our country and our liberation
Kenyan MPs have officially approved a bill removing the legal requirement for the IEBC to livestream results as they are announced at polling stations.
The move has raised concerns about transparency ahead of the 2027 General Election
