@LouieK1878__ It's a case of how they can do that without being seen to aid in provide cover for the failings of the club (helping present a normal Match day feel for eg). Detaching the day to day goings on of the club from the upper hierarchy, it's very tough.

Less responsibility
Less control over content of banners etc.
Allows support of players, whilst keeping a separation between 1878 and upper brass
