My brother (who has disabilities) and I work together at a field project charity twice a week. We make bird boxes etc from reclaimed wood. Today we had fun watching some residents in one!

@untidygarden I'm astonished at how incredibly unfazed they are by your attempts to deter them. Rats I've had here have been so timid in comparison.

@HedgehogCabin Absolutely heartbreaking. At least this little hedgehog has pain relief and food before a peaceful end. It must be so soul-destroying for you to see this kind of thing so regularly. Thank you for all you do.

@untidygarden Wow they're bold going into the feeder when the hedgehogs are in there. We had an issue with rats one year but they were always scared of the hogs. Luckily they disappeared over winter when the bowls were covered. It's not an easy thing to manage. Good luck.

@untidygarden Funnily enough two toads from my bucket were used for the road crossing scene in Wild Isles on Sunday. Our patrol had the film crew out for a few nights last year.

@untidygarden I've got smooth/palmates too and cannot differentiate them either! 🙂I've only seen GCNs on our toad patrol. I really was shocked at the size of them.
