That's beautiful @rebeccaperrotto I'm thrilled to see the Liv foundation officially launch. It’s exactly what we hoped for Foundation has chosen @TheGivingBlock .

Some of you might not be familiar with them yet. In 2022, they were acquired by @Shift4 for $54 million.

Shift4 is the payment company founded by @rookisaacman.
Yes, the same philanthropist who donated $100 million to @StJude in 2021 and has always been very close to Liv’s family.

He acquired The Giving Block precisely to help crypto philanthropy thrive and become the largest platform for accepting donations in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies.

They consistently step up during earthquakes and natural disasters, providing dedicated donation links for people to contribute using crypto.

The adorable mascot Asteroid was designed by Liv. I believe Asteroid token should also be added to option list of supported cryptocurrencies for donors to choose from.

Asteroid’s community has already contributed $676k to @StJude by donating 0.5% of the total token supply in 2024.

有些人说想看抱怨文。这就是当时看完火箭发射，心态太差了随手发的推文。发文的当天是 2024 年 11 月 20 号。

我也不是营销专业，当时候坚持的是，不准社区发代币给 KOL，你大V要代币就自己花钱去买，不存在推广换代币。

我就想靠自己做，我偏不信不能成！

没错，最后确实就是不能成。不得不向现实低头，人们都是来这个市场赚钱的。这也没有对错，市场不买单你能怨谁，只能怨自己呗，自己就是个失败者。

我不知道你们有没有那种时刻，你看好很棒的叙事或是项目，自己投入了很多时间跟心血，最后归零了或是拉完了。就像是撸毛给你「资格不符」一样。

那时候很天真，一个迷因由三个元素组成，叙事社区庄家。我觉得没庄又如何，社区自己努力点，大家都会喜欢这个慈善和梦想，这么可爱的小柴犬。

但没有资金就是不行。看起来任何一个币都一样。不管谁在 $ASTEROID 背后，我都很敬佩，压根没有想过可以维持 100M 超过30天，在这个市场下，在比特币下跌的每一天都守住了。

有些人说我是那个庄，我要是那个庄，我 2024 就给你拉盘拉到月球，还跟你说一大堆呢。我偏要玩困难模式是吧？所以你问我也没用，这个市值肯定是多个庄，甚至是交易所等等角力的

不管是谁，我由衷的感谢，让 ASTEROID 被市场看见，现在那么多人讨论，开启了以太乃至于这轮小牛， 这些都不是我能做到的，几百万美金的热钱都是真大哥，真金白银买进去的

看看我这个推文吧，你就会理解现在任何一个情况，都比当时好太多了。推文底下回复「你不是一个人 not alone」虽然资金选择很重要，但是缩小到个人散户，都是需要社区们互相鼓励的。

既然都被 @BlockBeatsAsia 点名了，那确实得写个回复，还原下当时情况。

针对 $ASTEROID 捐款给 StJude 医院，价值折算只有 100美元这事。当时这些代币价值有近 10000u 左右，截图发推文时，有 5000 美金价值。

医院当时并不会使用 dex 卖出这些代币，大家也可以从 @sometimesMarc 推文中看到，这次卖出 $ASTEROID 代币是他们首次尝试使用 Dex 交易。

于是当时我们决定，不然就先留在医院钱包了，等代币可以到更高的市值，那这笔捐款将会放大许多。远比我们单纯捐助 U 更多，也能呼吁更多人捐款。

所以不是只有捐献 100u 捐款。医院没有选择在那时候卖出变现，也是讨论的结果。也很开心最后价值变得更多了，67万美金的捐款可以帮助更多儿童。

第二件是关于「实质帮助」这件事。时间线回到 2025 年 8 月 5 日，Liv 妈妈在推特上请求大家帮忙 Liv 医疗费用，发了个 Gofundme 捐款链接。

当天我马上联络社区，写推文讲述Liv 经历，呼吁大家捐款帮助。妈妈在她的推文上，有请大家多多转发给更多人。

当时我们中英双推都有发，加上我自己推特号，英文版浏览也有不少。社区自发都有捐款。希望律动可以追踪下，以后有相关的文章，也能转发慈善帮忙。

以上是跟金钱有关的帮助。就精神层面，因为 Liv 很希望可以带 Asteroid 出门玩，但是当时她癌症复发了。我们确实朝向这个方向，希望可以让 Liv 看见 Asteroid 自己去到了好多国家。

Memecoins Can Change the World Too! The Heartwarming Charity Story of SpaceX’s Mascot, Asteroid.

In 2024, the Asteroid community donated 2.1 billion $ASTEROID tokens to @StJude Children’s Research Hospital. They eventually sold them for $670,000.

To protect the community and avoid any negative impact, the hospital carefully sold the token in 12 batches, converting them into 290 ETH. These funds will be used to support children undergoing cancer treatment.

Back in September 2021, during the first all-civilian space mission @inspiration4x, @rookisaacman set a goal of raising $200 million for St. Jude. @elonmusk replied by pledging $50 million, helping the mission exceed its target.

Three years later, in September 2024, the @PolarisProgram conducted the second all-civilian space mission, again led by Jared Isaacman.

This mission also featured the first commercial spacewalk and broke the record for the farthest distance humans have traveled from Earth since the 1972 Apollo program. Asteroid, the SpaceX’s mascot, was onboard the spacecraft.

Asteroid is the zero-gravity indicator designed by Liv, the daughter of @rebeccaperrotto. At the time, Liv was battling cancer and dreamed of becoming the first child in space.

She especially wanted to inspire the children at St. Jude, hoping that every child who saw Asteroid in space would feel brave enough to chase their dreams.

@SpaceX and the Polaris Program also sell official Asteroid plush toys on their website.

At Liv’s request, all proceeds from the sales of these plush toys are donated to St. Jude to help children with cancer who are going through the same struggle she did.

This is why the $ASTEROID community decided to donate to St. Jude. From 2021 until today, many people have been helping St. Jude, and Asteroid has connected it all. This is a touching charity story.

We were inspired by @VitalikButerin , who once said, “I truly prefer if you guys send to charity directly. I think the best thing for memecoins is if they can be maximally positive-sum for the world.”

So we called on the community to donate 2.1 billion $ASTEROID tokens and reached out to @sometimesMarc at St. Jude, who leads Web3 donations.

After Asteroid became the official SpaceX’s mascot, the token’s value rose rapidly. This allowed the donated tokens to reach a peak value of nearly $1 million.

This is also the first time a memecoin has truly made a positive impact in the real world. We have fulfilled Vitalik’s vision. We hope everyone will continue to carry on this charitable initiative.

Thank you to everyone who read this story. Kids should live in a world where cancer does not exist 🙏 We will forever love Liv and Asteroid, this adorable SpaceX’s mascot!

翻到 2024 年建设的时候，跟百亿颗 $ASTEROID 大哥聊天对话，好多回忆涌上心头。真的是建设太难了，给每一个还在认真建设的社区点赞了。

那时候要更新像 dexscreener、Ave、etherscan、coingecko 等东西，还要维持 Boost 好像两小时热度就要花 300u 还 500u，啥都要钱。

但是我一直都没什么钱，社区众筹还被骗了，CTO 也不认真干活，每次要更换东西我就东凑西凑，拜托这个大哥那个大佬，能不能给社区捐点。

这大哥都会在社区众筹后，把不够的补上，后面卖掉代币的时候，给社区 1000u，是真的及时雨啊，我马上拿去更新dex。他那时候说「知道你人贼好，做事很认真」听到真感动啊 😭

虽然他后面觉得太空狗没啥后续了，所以把币卖了，但是他 2026 最近回来跟我说「他错了」🤣 知错能改，再把 $ASTEROID 买回来呗，是不是？

我一直都鬼点子挺多，一股脑往自己的方向冲，可能因为总是傻傻认真做事，所以我资金都没啥长进（不知道为啥）但每次我都能带上一群朋友赚钱。
