The zeal of generative AI, of critical thought alone, of this chain of physical necessity, of ourselves animals, attempts to prophesy against the sacred history where the poet begins the chronology, against meter-making for the sake of meter, and will set whole realms on fire.
We are entering an era where people who "know literature" credit the voice of poets, particularly Homer, though lingering in them all, to the same phenomenon of "generative AI" and that is, frankly, the same danger as historical materialism, is idolatry.
