Last night, as Canadians began to celebrate the Thanksgiving weekend, Israelis were attacked by the terror group, Hamas.

Today, as Canada wakes up to unspeakable images of terror, pain and war we must remain shoulder to shoulder with Israel as it responds to, and defends itself from, these criminal and cowardly acts of terror.

To friends in Israeli and around the world, I hope you know that today and always, through fire and water, Canada will stand with you.
