@sophielouisecc It’s a shame when totally normal things get treated like weapons and everyone suffers continually for the actions of a few

I strive to make my writing unsummarizable, in the sense that it has so little fluff left in it that if you take any words out, as summaries by definition do, you lose a lot of interesting ideas.
We should look at modern news as an art form. The point isn’t to inform, but as a form of creative expression. And the greatest artists are those who are most creative at misinforming the reader
@elonmusk@mattvanswol This is why Jesus specifically preached against going on long trips to help people far away. In theory it’s a great thing to do but in practice it’s ripe for scams
@CollinRugg@bourne_beth2345 You can tell she’s serious. That’s it’s not about mocking black people, and instead she’s trying to make it abundantly clear how betrayed she feels
@snowmaker it seems the opposite for me. now I'm either flying or stopped dead in my tracks. but also now I'm interrupt driven so while I'm stuck on one thing, other agents are working
@Evadivalore I doubt that many people truly believe this. If it wasn't for intimidation, people would use common sense and understand that in nearly all cases it is not healthcare
@AlpacaAurelius It's the same thing with computers. It's digital light that is less bright, less healthy (not enough infrared). Light is emissive rather than reflective (probably has some consequences I don't know about)
The goal is to get yourself in a position where you can speak the truth, and then speak it
Otherwise, the stuff that's unsaid will eat away at you and everyone else around you
