she was only 21 here and already winning a huading award, making it to forbes 30 under 30, and still finding time to be confused on stage 😭 we love a humble queen who keeps it short and sweet.
🎤: best actress in a historical drama. the winning work is novoland: eagle flag – song zu'er. congratulations to her. congratulations to song zu'er. in the past, everyone was familiar with hong kong's joey yung (rong zu'er). now, everyone is also getting to know this young song zu'er.
ah, don't be fooled by the fact that she was born in 1998. she has already accomplished so, so much. today, she has won our huading award for best actress in a historical drama. congratulations once again!
she's only 21 years old, with unlimited potential. i believe that at this very moment, she must have many thoughts and feelings she'd like to share with all the senior artists and teachers here.
let's hear what she'd like to say. alright, now let's invite our presenters and our winner to take a commemorative photo together.
song zu'er is also a student at the beijing film academy, and she has also been selected for the forbes china 30 under 30 list. alright, please.

came across this beautiful post from a xiaoshuidi💧 on xhs. it perfectly captures how so many of us feel 🥹
“no matter what name she has, she's still the same person, and neither will we change. there's something i've really wanted to ask everyone: now that fanqing has gone back to using her real name, will you still call her "zuer"?
i'll answer first: i will.
when i first got to know her, she was already using the stage name song zu'er. after following her for a while, i learned that her childhood nickname was juanjuan. some older fans may also remember the name sun bijuan. i once saw zuer's (i still instinctively call her that) driver's license from 2016, when she had just turned 18, and it listed her name as sun bijuan, so that was likely a former legal name she used.
it wasn't until she took the college entrance exam in 2018 (she was 20, a little older than most students) that the name sun fanqing officially entered the public eye. after artists' real names were made public this year, the painful story behind how she had been forced to adopt the stage name "song zuer" also came to light. i completely understand why some fans, after learning what happened, no longer want to call her "zuer" and instead choose to call her "fanqing."
but i want to say this: no matter which name you use, they're all her. although "song zuer" was a stage name she never chose for herself, it was also the name under which she built her career, created one wonderful work after another, and carved out her own place in the industry. in that sense, "song zuer" represents her achievements, and it also holds a piece of our shared youth.
i believe that if artists weren't required to publicly use their legal names, she probably would have continued using "song zuer," and we would have continued calling her that too.
i've changed my own name before, and after i started writing, i even chose a pen name. but the people closest to me still call me by my old name.
to be honest, i've become so unfamiliar with that old name that i sometimes even forget it in everyday life. but when i go home and my family calls me by it, it still feels like a special, affectionate name that belongs only to them.
so even if we can't officially call her "zuer" anymore, we little water droplets can still think of it as the affectionate nickname we use among ourselves. after all, that name has been with us for so many years. i don't think there's a single water droplet who doesn't have feelings attached to it.
so whether she's juanjuan, song zu'er, or sun fanqing, she's still the same person– the one we'll love for a lifetime. no matter what name she uses in the future, she won't change, and neither will we!”
zuer's longtime stylist 鹿龟鱼 mentioned on his livestream that she's about to start filming soon, which is why all the travel suggestions got turned down and then they joked they were "fake friends" bc they only found out she'd cut her hair through the internet too 😭
The sister is really going to start working. friend invited her to travel, but she said can't go too far away.
Fans recorded live clips.
